I can relate to the independant woman piece and wanting to be self-sufficient. I dont think it's weak at all to ask for help, it's not that you can't throw the bucket on the mice, but why not access help if it's available? it's sounds like you're doing a great job of managing your responsibility and taking control, but also realizing there are times where help is valued, not expected.
